Sometimes the problem isn’t a lack of direction.
It’s too many.
In this episode of After the Book, I respond to a question from Jason—who has three viable paths in front of him:
coaching
workshops
a membership
All of them are working.
All of them have traction.
And because of that, he’s stuck.
This is a different kind of paralysis.
Not from uncertainty, but from possibility.
The instinct is to keep all options open.
To move each one forward just enough to not lose it.
But that comes with a cost.
Nothing gets enough attention to really grow.
So the question shifts:
Not “Which one is right?”
But “Which one am I willing to focus on for now?”
Because choosing one path doesn’t close the others.
It just gives you the clarity that only comes from committing long enough to learn.
